Overview

This is an automatic action that reorders document pages so they are in a book format.

Rules

  • Book format means - if you stack newly produced pages on top of each other and bend them in half, it would look like a book.
  • Example of creating a double-sided booklet:
    • Page order (8 pages):
      • 1st sheet - one side 8-1, other side 2-7
      • 2nd sheet - one side 3-6, other side 4-5
      • 2nd sheet goes on top of the first sheet (so "other-sides" are faced up)
    • Page order (7 pages):
      • 1st sheet - one side empty-1, other side 2-7
      • 2nd sheet - one side 6-3, other side 4-5
      • 2nd sheet goes on top of the first sheet (so "other-sides" are faced up)
  • Example of creating a single-sided booklet:
    • Page order (8 pages):
      • 1st sheet - 1-8
      • 2nd sheet  - 2-7
      • 3rd sheet - 3-6
      • 4th sheet - 4-5
      • Sheets would be stacked on top of each order in reverse order
    • Page order (7 pages):
      • 1st sheet - 1 - empty
      • 2nd sheet  - 2-7
      • 3rd sheet - 3-6
      • 4th sheet - 4-5
      • Sheets would be stacked on top of each order in reverse order
  • All non-PDF documents will be converted to PDF before Create Booklet action (and that conversion will produce a separate entry in the File History of a file)
