Overview
This is an automatic action that obscures specified text in a document (covers it with a black rectangle).
Rules
- Person who creates workflow sets one or more phrases for redacting
- Phrase can be a whole word or a part of the word
- We ignore case in phrases, which means if you type the phrase “word”, phrases such as “WORD” and “wOrD” will be redacted
- The minimum phrase length is 2 characters
- If the file contains those phrases, after Redact action all of them will be darkened, covered by a black rectangle
- The text behind the black rectangle shouldn't be visible when it's selected and copied
- All non-PDF documents will be converted to PDF before Redact action (and that conversion will produce a separate entry in the File History of a file)
- If nothing in the file is redacted, there will be a message “No phrases were found. Please check that the document isn't an image.” in details of the Redacted history item
