Overview
Files may be:
- Uploaded using Upload Button on inbox lists or dragged directly to an inbox or a workflow tile
- Emailed to an inbox/workflow email address
- Scanned to a folder and then forwarded to Willow inbox/workflow using Collector Application
Web Upload
- Files can be uploaded to the inbox
- Using Upload Button or
- Dragging files to the list
- Files can be uploaded directly to a workflow
- Dragging files to the Workflow Tile
- Inbox upload rules:
- The general rule is - if you try to upload an invalid file, the file will still be shown in the list, but with a red colour and a tooltip describing the error. As soon as the list is refreshed, red items will disappear. All valid files in the same upload group will still be uploaded even if some files are invalid.
- All file types are allowed
- Empty files cannot be uploaded
- Files bigger than 100MB cannot be uploaded
- Workflow Tile upload rules:
- The general rule is - as soon as a single file in the job is invalid, the whole job gets cancelled
- If files are valid, a job is created and workflow immediately starts file processing
- If you try to upload a file that can't be processed by the workflow (e.g. .xls file to a workflow that requires conversion to PDF), the error will be displayed
- Empty files cannot be uploaded
- Files bigger than 100MB cannot be uploaded
- 20MB size limit for workflows that have one of the following actions: Watermark, Stamp, Redact, Highlight, WillowSign, Simple Sign, Digital Certificate, Auto Sign, Merge, Split, Create and Divide Booklet
- Web Upload will produce a Recently Added item saying "n files uploaded..."
Email Upload
- Every inbox and workflow has their unique email address
- Team inboxes may be turned off, which will block adding files by email
- General Inbox email address may be turned off, which will block adding files by email
- Workflows may be turned off, which will block adding files by email
- The information about the inbox email address is shown in the subtitle of the inbox list
- The information about the workflow email address is shown in the subtitle of the Workflow Scheme screen
- When a user sends an email to that address with the files attached, attached files are added to Willow
- If an email is sent to an inbox, all the files from the email will create a single upload group (one entry in the Recently Added list)
- If an email is sent to a workflow, all the files from the email will create a single job and immediately start processing
- Email Upload will produce a Recently Added item saying "n files emailed..."
Scan Upload
- The output of the scanner may be forwarded to Willow
- All the files forwarded at the same time by a Collector App will be in the same job/upload group
- Scan Upload will produce a Recently Added item saying "n files scanned..."
